- More than 25,000 units affected
- Safety risk for passengers in the rear seats
Skoda Auto India has initiated a recall for three of its mainstream models - the Skoda Kylaq, Skoda Kushaq, and the Skoda Slavia. More than 25,000 affected units across all three offerings have been recalled.

The recall pertains to an issue for the rear-seat passengers. In an unfortunate event of a frontal collision, the rear seatbelt buckle latch plate may break, and the webbing of the rear center seatbelt assembly, along with the buckle of the rear right seatbelt, may fail.

According to official details, 25,772 units across the three products manufactured between the period of 24 May, 2024 and 1 April, 2025 are affected under this recall. The company is expected to contact customers of the affected cars, and the fix is likely to be undertaken at no additional cost.
